# International wire withdrawal

> Send USD by international wire to a bank trusted destination outside the United States with quorum approval on every request.

An international wire withdrawal sends USD from your USD wallet to a bank account outside the United States, saved as a trusted destination, with quorum approval on every request. `POST /v2/transactions/withdrawal` requires the `Initiate withdrawals` permission and an Ed25519 request signature.

## Set up an international trusted destination

International wires go to a fiat trusted destination that was added with **International** as the bank account type. Create one via API by setting `fiat.beneficiaryBank.code` to `BIC` and including `fiat.intermediaryBank`—see [Create a USD trusted destination via API](/knowledge-base/platform/developers/move-money/setup/trusted-destinations#create-a-usd-trusted-destination-via-api). You can also add bank recipients in the web dashboard by selecting **Fiat** as the destination type—see [Adding a USD trusted destination](/knowledge-base/platform/users/usd-withdrawals#adding-a-usd-trusted-destination). Editing fiat trusted destinations via API isn't supported.

Once you enroll in the [USD Interest Program](/knowledge-base/platform/developers/move-money/deposit/usd-interest), BNY serves as the primary bank for withdrawals. BNY is a SWIFT member, so you can send international wires over SWIFT without an intermediary bank. Intermediary bank instructions for international USD trusted destinations become optional, and previous country restrictions no longer apply.

## Send an international wire withdrawal

The request is the same as a domestic wire withdrawal. Set `destination.type` to `TRUSTED_DESTINATION`, set `destination.id` to the international fiat trusted destination ID, and include `assetParametersFiatTrustedDestination`. To find the destination ID, call `GET /v2/trusted_destinations` and filter on `type == "fiat"`.
