A 3-step transaction process
1
Multi-user approval
Every transaction requires approval from at least two members of the organization, using authentication through authorized devices.
2
Transaction review
Using automated outlier detection and human oversight, Anchorage Digital authenticates each approval based on detailed behavioral analytics.
3
Hardware-enforced logic
Only when both the organization and Anchorage Digital have approved, our Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) process the transaction.
Web dashboard
The Anchorage Digital web dashboard provides a master view of account activity. You can filter activity by defined parameters and export transaction data for bookkeeping and analysis.iOS app
The Anchorage Digital iOS app harnesses the iPhone’s advanced security features, including the Secure Enclave, to manage approvals without shards or key ceremonies. You can submit or endorse operations in under a minute.APIs
Anchorage Digital offers an intuitive API to integrate with any modern application. Pull current and historical data into accounting and portfolio management tools, and securely share read-only API keys with fund administrators, auditors, and colleagues.Multi-user approval
All sensitive operations—such as withdrawing assets or changing account settings—require approval from multiple members of an organization.- Quorums: Each approval is tied to a unique and unforgeable cryptographic key, created and stored in the iOS Secure Enclave so only authorized devices can access the account.
- Unique user keys: Each user’s identity is bound to their device — no other device can approve on their behalf.
- Biometric authentication: Users can only unlock the app using Face ID or Touch ID. Each approval is further authenticated with facial and voice recognition.
Transaction review
After a transaction is approved by a valid quorum, Anchorage Digital conducts a further review.- Behavioral analytics: Individual and organization data is examined to evaluate each operation in context.
- Automated outlier detection: Biometrics, operation details, location, and more are compared against historical patterns to detect and flag any anomalies.
- Human oversight: Every operation is independently reviewed by Anchorage Digital. No operation moves forward without human confirmation.
Hardware security modules
Once an operation is fully approved by both the organization and Anchorage Digital, it advances to a specialized hardware system.- Hardware Security Modules (HSMs): Private keys are generated and permanently stored on air-gapped HSMs. The system signs operations without ever exposing private keys.
- Hardware-enforced logic: Custom logic verifies that each operation has a valid quorum of client approvals as well as Anchorage Digital approval. Operations can only process if both parties have approved.
- High-security data centers: Anchorage Digital HSMs are housed in protected data centers with 24/7 physical security and biometric access controls. No individual can manually override a given HSM.
