As an Anchorage Digital Bank (ADB) client, you can receive USD into your vault’s USD wallet by domestic wire (Fedwire/CHIPS) or international wire (SWIFT). To get started, create a USD wallet and share its wire instructions with the sender.

Domestic wire deposits

Receive USD from US banks over Fedwire/CHIPS.

International wire deposits

Receive USD from banks outside the US over SWIFT.

Overview

A wire moves from the sender’s bank to Anchorage Digital Bank, which credits your USD wallet. Domestic wires travel over Fedwire or CHIPS, and international wires travel over SWIFT. Most domestic US wire transfers arrive the same business day—often within a few hours—when sent before the bank’s cut-off time, commonly mid-afternoon Eastern. International wires usually take 1–5 business days. Wires don’t move on weekends or US federal holidays, so timing around cut-offs matters.

Funds availability

Funds are made available once they’re posted to your account, provided the transfer hasn’t been placed on hold. Wire transactions are considered final once the funds are received.

Wire drawdown requests

A wire drawdown request lets you pull funds from another account by asking the sender’s bank to send you a wire, instead of waiting for the sender to push it. Anchorage Digital doesn’t support wire drawdown requests yet. If you need them, contact your relationship manager so we can prioritize this feature request.

Rejecting an incoming wire

To reject an incoming wire, contact your relationship manager. We currently process these requests manually. For common questions, see Wire deposit FAQs.
